Welfare & Pensions

Welfare Officer
An important role of the G&DVVAA is to help veterans and their dependants with their well-being. This might take the form of ascertaining the needs of the veteran (or his family) and connecting him with the necessary assistance. Assistance may take the form of counselling, medical or financial services.

Our Welfare Officer is David (Darby) Drennan (below).

D Drennan2Darby has many years of welfare experience with the Geelong Veterans' Welfare Centre, (now the Geelong Surfcoast Veterans' Centre). He can now be contacted at the Vietnam Veterans' Centre at Osborne House, 51 Swinburne Street, North Geelong, on most Tuesdays. Drop in to talk to him or phone the centre on (03) 5277 0311.

If you need to contact Darby at other times, he can often be contacted on 5281 5076 or 0427 040 095

Darby can also help you with contacts at the Geelong & Surfcoast Veterans' Centre if you require assistance with pension entitlements or see below for GSVC direct contact details.
