Vietnam Veterans March in Geelong – 2016

Other 50th Anniversary Commemorations

What a great day for all Geelong based Vietnam Veterans (and a number of visitors) on 14th August.
The weather was kind to us and there was a really big turn-out, some 300+ was an estimate.

Our guest speaker Barry Heard spoke so eloquently of his experience in Vietnam and especially what happened after he returned to Australia.
Thank you to Vietnam Veterans and their families who attended, this was your day.
Thanks to all the G & DVVAA Committee who worked so well to ensure the day was a memorable one . There is a lot of organisation behind the scenes that needs to happen to ensure everything goes smoothly and that the ceremony is a fitting tribute to our comrades who made the ultimate sacri-fice, and all who served.
Thanks to CoGG Events Team, Victoria Police, Geelong Me-morial Brass Band, Ian Coombs,8/7 RVR and WO2 Lucas Hourigan, 428 Air Cadet Squadron,
Thank you one and all.
