2017 ANZAC Day Dawn Service

Despite storms and heavy rain on the eve of ANZAC Day, great crowds turned out for the first Geelong Dawn Service held at Eastern Beach.
Media reported that 3500 adults and children turned out with umbrellas and raincoats to witness the moving 6.00AM service.
Guest speaker was the Geelong and District Vietnam Veterans Association (GDVVAA) Patron Dr Ted Heffernan.
The service was MC’d by Vietnam Veteran Bernard Clancy. Prayers and hymns were shared between Fr Kevin Dillon and the Venerable Neil Hicks.
Vietnam Veteran Andy Treffry recited the Ode.
